Position Title: QMS Officer (Junior)

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 documentation — quality manual, procedures, formats, and records.
- Sit with production, stores, dispatch, and maintenance teams to convert actual shop-floor practice into SOPs and work instructions, and ensure they are followed.
- Plan and conduct internal system/process audits as per the audit calendar; track non-conformities to closure.
- Act as the plant’s day-to-day Management Representative (MR) for the QMS — maintain document control, coordinate management review inputs, and represent the quality system to customers and certification bodies.
- Face and coordinate customer audits and IATF surveillance/certification audits — prepare documentation and evidence, and represent the plant during audit interactions.
- Maintain the master document list, revision control, and training records.
- Coordinate with the external IATF consultant (where engaged) on documentation and audit readiness.
- Support root-cause analysis and documentation for customer complaints/quality escalations.
3. Education & Experience
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- IATF 16949 Internal Auditor training/certification.
- 3-4 years of experience in QMS/quality documentation in an automotive component or Tier 2/3 supplier setup, with hands-on exposure to IATF implementation (as a team member is acceptable).
- Should be confident enough to face customer and certification audits independently on documentation and system matters.
4. Key Skills & Competencies
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements and core tools at an application level.
- Good documentation/drafting skills; comfortable working across departments and with shop-floor staff.
- Confident communicator, able to represent the QMS during customer/certification audits.
- Proficiency in MS Word/Excel.
- Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision in a small, resource-light setup.
5. Other Requirements
- Willingness to be based full-time at the plant.
- Age: typically 27–30 years (indicative; not a strict cut-off).
- This is a junior officer-level role — compensation and seniority are set accordingly, in line with the company’s current budget and scale.
